This stamp is related to Christians who think here in America we have it the worst than other countries.
Well, just so we are clear I am not denying at all Christians have been persecuted in American. I am a white American myself. I have seen on the news of pro-lifers being arrests, being assaulted while praying, having firebombs thrown at them. There has also been the case (actually quite a few) where a business has been forced to shut down for refusing to provide for a gay wedding. The most recent case was a pizzaria being forced to shut down after a news reporter went in there and asked them about their views on gay marriage. They responded they would make a pizza for a gay couple but they would not provide for a marriage. HOWEVER, the reporter flat out lied and said the pizzaria would not bake for a gay couple at all and the business was subject to death threats and insults. Eventually the business was able to get back on it's feet after people gave them funds through an account. Even gay people aplogized for the behavior of their supporters and gave the family on their behalf. So yes, there is a persecution in a sense here in America.
But this itself isn't the real point of this stamp. The point is we as Americans often overlook other Christians in far off countries who are actually being martyred for their faith. I have a friend from South Korea who has educated me on the matter and it opened my eyes about just how good I have it as an American. Christians are being imprisoned, tortured and outright killed for ludacris reasons. A buddy of mine from South Korea had a friend. This friend of his was imprisoned for 2 years in China under a false charge of "human trafficking" when he was really helping sex slaves escape to South Korea for a better life. Thankfully this friend of my friend had an American Citizenship so he was spared of torture unlike some of the poor souls who were not so fortunate. The friend eventually escaped through the help of North Korean defectors to South Korea. The Church my friend goes to even helps NK defectors escape to South Korea. Even Muslims are under harsh watch in these countries.
I also have to compliment Fox News for not only making the persecution of Christians by Islamic extremists known in the media. However, I am likewise disappinted they are not extending the same courtesy to these other Christians in North Korea and China. Where are the reports about these Christians?
Again, I am in no way denying American Christians being forced to stand up for what we believe in. All I am saying is the persecution we are going through is nothing to what our brothers and sisters overseas fear on a day to day basis.
often sob 'n' beat their breast,
because they feel discrimination,
in each and every liberal nation.
But they and gays and trannies too,
seem not to realize as they cry, boohoo,
that elsewhere they get sticks and stones
or tossed off roofs to break their bones.
Here they get a mean and naughty word,
that burns, OH GAWD! like flames. Absurd.
They'll all be whinin' until the day they die
and wonderin' why happiness passed them by.
There's not enough compassion in the entire universe to placate all the victim wannabes.
I won't be a dick and say there's no religious persecution for Christians, as you mention it happens in the third world, but the first world is very comfy for Christians, in fact, I'd argue Christianity is heavily ingrained in most first world cultures...
